Colours By The Sea

Whether you’re renovating a house from scratch, repainting an old wall, or choosing some curtains, it’s good to take a little inspiration from somewhere. Or maybe you simply enjoy looking at different colours (who doesn’t?). Our ‘Colours By The Sea’ feature brings you hues from the local area, together with their colour codes.

The inspiration is everywhere and some shades are certainly more eye catching than others. A bright red boat in the middle of a grey North East seascape is hard to miss! And while some colours stay the same (blue clock faces and terracotta rooftops), the ever changing sky and sea bring about an almost infinite range of hues.

You can keep track of the ever increasing colour palette by following our #acolourbythesea hashtag over on Instagram, so think of this journal entry as the beginning. Meanwhile, check out the first few shades below. It’s nice to think your next paint job might be inspired by a local landmark.
