'This Is Northumberland' Feature
Want to find out more about the story behind ‘A City by the Sea’? Now’s your chance! This Is Northumberland 2025 features the story of how it came about, as well as the creative process behind the travel posters and prints.
This Is Northumberland is an annual publication which strives to celebrate all things Northumberland. After its debut in 2022, the idea has gone from strength to strength. Crafted by a collective of talented North East creatives, and printed within the county, the publication features an abundance of beautifully documented images and stories.
The publication covers a wide range of topics and themes. From people, places and projects, to history, nature and folklore. This packed piece of literature is a real deep dive into what makes Northumberland special. Without giving too much away, the 2025 publication includes a feature on little old me, A City by the Sea (poetic, that!).
You’ll be able to read about how the brand came about, as well as the creative steps that go into the design and print of the travel posters. To help bring the feature to life, the written piece is accompanied by stunning sunrise images from a jaunt up the coast to Warkworth and Amble. These images help readers to visualise the creative process, as well as shine a spotlight on a typically beautiful section of the North East coastline.
